Over at Digitals the monthly challenges are churning along. This page is my entry in the Layout Challenge. The leader supplied a sketch and each participant was challenged to build a layout based on the sketch.
The papers and elements came from the A Child's Love charity kit available at Digitals. Background papers: Glenda Ketcham; mats and tag cut from paper by d2D; ribbon by Christina Blomberg; Love charm by Jen Maceyunas; paper flowers and buttons by Alisha Hess; stitched eyelets by Sue Jones. Fonts are Dominican (from Harold's Fonts) and Bradley Hand ITC.
These are pictures taken in the birthing room just a short time after Alex was born. The journalling lists the usual vital statistics.
A second layout created for the monthly challenges at Digitals is this one for the "He Said, She Said" challenge. This month, the leader posted several seasonal quotes and challenged the participants to use one of them in a layout.
The aspens were bright yellow when we visited the Ashley National Forest in northern Utah last October. I had never seen aspens before and was not aware that they had white, papery bark much like birch trees. I chose to use these photos along with the Autumn quote.
All papers and elements come from the same A Child's Love charity kit as used above. Background paper: Christina Blomberg, Pre-Teen Boys. Jewel element: d2D, WinterSoft. Mat paper: Jolene Schaffer. Ribbons: Christina Blomberg, Pre-Teen Boys. Fonts are Bradley Hand ITC, Verdana, and Monotype Corsiva.
