Last weekend we had lunch with Steven's cousin Nancy at Mom & Dad's house. Nancy moved to Fort Worth last fall, but this was the first chance we'd had to visit with her. The only other time I'd seen her (and the last time Steven saw her) was back in 1973 when we went to Detroit for Christmas.
Nancy is a violinist and pianist and teaches both instruments. She has played with several orchestras including most recently the Birmingham (AL) symphony. She's playing with a chamber orchestra down in Fort Worth.
In addition to music, another interest we have in common is photography. Nancy has combined her photography skills with her love of bird watching. She showed us her portfolio containing some striking photos of birds. Before moving to Texas, she exhibited her photos at Samford University. One of my favorites is of an owl.
