Back to the NaBloPoMo theme of “Look Up”, here's a photo that I took 10 days ago at Hoover Dam. As we exited the parking garage, I noticed that the stairs were quite attractive and grand—for a parking structure. Usually, when you don't take the elevator, you are forced to walk down some metal monstrosity in an interior cavern. These stairs, though, are outside; wide and appealing. Made of concrete that has been colored to match the surrounding stone, they almost appear to have been carved in place.
Looking up the staircase from the bottom, the perspective almost hides the entrances to each level of the garage. Rather, they appear to go on and on, ever higher.
