Yes, it's another photo of the sky, but it's not the real sky. Rather, it's a sky that is painted on the ceiling which arches over restaurants and shops at the Venetian in Las Vegas.
As I posted yesterday, I'm attending the IBM Impact Conference in Las Vegas. All of our meeting sessions are being held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center which is attached to the Venetian hotel. On Sunday evening, we went to dinner at one of the restaurants at the Venetian and found ourselves dining in an atmosphere which mimicked outdoor or sidewalk cafes while keeping us within the pleasantly air-conditioned interior of this massive building.
Looking up, the “sky” was always clear. Sadly, there were no birds or airplanes overhead. The upside was that there weren't any bugs to land in my drink! And, although the weather has been quite moderate and comfortable, I think that by mid-June, one would really appreciate being indoors instead of in the fierce heat that is the trademark of Las Vegas in the summer.
