Up to ...

Yesterday, I pondered the coupling of verbs with UP such as “turn up” or “ring up” or even “step up”. (Notice three more four-letter verbs plus UP?) Today I'm thinking about phrases which start with UP TO. I'm not coming up with as many examples, but maybe over the next couple of days I can extend the list.

  • Up to me.
  • Up to no good.
  • Up to date.
  • Up to snuff
  • Up to the minute.
